Orange on Dark Blue Ground

£450.00

Another of the Citrus Collection using alla prima technique.  Literally meaning all at once, it stands for a rapid way of painting often completed all in one session.  To enhance the reflections of the orange peel the black marble surface was sprayed with water and this gives some subtle, rich, deep colours which and offset the vivid orange and white peel marvellously.  Framed in the black and gold moulding, it’s a stunner.

Oil on panel

29 x 31cm11¼x 12¼ inches

Please enquire if you would like to purchase this work
