Sometimes lighting can make a still life arrangent explode and this is what happened here. The little antique medicine bottle seems to radiate light onto the much used can of turpentine. The tube of paint - Michael Harding’s Yellow Oxide - did the same, creating a glowing flame.
And why paint tubes? I find them exciting, full of promise and beautiful even when they are squeezed into all sorts of odd shapes.
I wonder what you think? It’s unusual but not un-lovely?
