And finally the fourth pieces . . . . How did it happen? Difficult to remember the sequence of events. We know the tiles are in place but which colours this time?

A trip to a friend’s fabulous Antique Shop in Petworth, Wakelin and Linfield, fitted it all together.  There was just one of these large chemists’ jars that had lost its glass stopper. My generous friend gave it to me!  I didn’t know what I’d do with it, but when I got it back to my studio I saw how inspiring it was.  Studio lights on the ribbed surface created a staggering glow. The label, etched into the form then glided and glazed with reds and black writing adds character and another dimension of meaning . . . . .  its purpose.

All this sustains my hours of painting - it’s pretty dramatic and complex even without its history.

You will love it!  Give it you own story and enjoy!
