Experimenting with backlighting and dramatic contrasts the marble top was kept flooded with water while painting so the light and colours are reflected - dark and jewel like. This simple composition invites you to explore beautiful colour and harmonies. The dark frame with a champagne gold fillet makes the glowing paint very rich and juicy.
